Has anyone here run in the ASICS Gel Nimbus 23? I’m curious about comfort, durability, and whether they’re good for daily training or longer runs. Worth the price, or better options out there?
Yes, I’ve been using them for about 8 months. Super comfortable, especially for long slow runs. They’re on the heavier side, but for me, the cushioning makes up for it.
I wore Nimbus 23 during marathon training. The shock absorption is amazing. If you like a plush ride, you’ll love them. If you prefer a lighter shoe, maybe not.
Durability is solid. I’ve got around 500 miles on mine and they’re still going strong. Outsole grip is better than I expected too.
I think the Nimbus 23 runs a little narrow compared to the 22. If you’ve got wide feet, definitely try them on first or look for the wide option.
I used Nimbus for years but switched to Novablast. Lighter, more responsive, and still cushioned. Nimbus is good, but it feels a bit “old school” now.
Honestly, they’re not cheap. If you can find them discounted (older colorways often drop in price on Amazon), they’re worth it. At full retail, I think you can find better value.
I’m not fast, I just like comfortable miles, and the Nimbus 23 has been perfect. Feels like running on pillows compared to my previous shoes.
For me, the heel cushioning is the highlight. I’ve had issues with impact in the past, and these shoes really helped me feel fresher after longer runs.
I actually found them too soft. I felt like I was sinking into the shoe. If you like a firmer ride, you might want to look at the Cumulus instead.
Nimbus 23 is a classic daily trainer. Reliable, durable, comfy. Not flashy, not fast — but if you just want a shoe that works, you won’t regret it.
