Which running vest is best for marathon?

Wanted to get best suggestions on best vests. I’ve been rawdogging my training so far and realized I probably need a vest to hydrate during my runs.

Have two, Nathan Quickstart and Nathan Bayperair. Without rubbing, both can store plenty of water, snacks and other essentials.

Do not let the Best Police say “no need” unless you run a 100-mile ultra-marathon.

Vest police, haha. I can see not wanting to wear one during a race with support but where are these people putting all their stuff on a long run??

Handheld or waist-type choices are sufficient if you do not exceed 15 miles (approx. 24 km) mainly in road training. We have a successful experience with half tights that can store soft flasks. Long distance running in the backcountry uses the best because saving storage space can be life-threatening, but it is avoided because it is too hot otherwise. However, Salomon’s ADV skins 5 and 12 are almost the gold standard for beginners.

Oh, my God… I sweat two liters from the best in 15 miles running! I’m sweaty, so it’s absolutely impossible.

It should always be based on time, not distance. There are times when people move fast or slow. Various factors, such as the weather and the amount of sweat, affect it.

Be sure to wear a vest over 6 miles. It is more convenient to get the water bottle out quickly, and you can put snacks, smartphones and anything else in your pocket.

Salomon’s best is the highest. All the other products I tried outperform overwhelmingly. Still, if possible, it is worth trying on some brands and grasping their taste.

Osprey Diner. Very comfortable. Water does not shake or jump like other vests. The strap is perfectly adjustable so you can adjust the chest to a position that does not squeeze uncomfortably.

Ignore the opinions of those who say “no need.” Up to 15 miles is enough for handheld, but it is mandatory to run 18-21 miles long. I sweat more than 1 liter per hour, so I can’t compensate for the moisture I lose in a 3-hour training run with a 2.5-liter Advanced Skin 5.

If you have Decatron in your country, check out the best trail running lineup.

You should avoid large ones. It is designed for ultra-marathons and requires a large amount of equipment. On the other hand, small ones are excellent and cost performance is excellent.

I own Salamon Advanced Skin 5 and am very happy. Now, in the EU it is summer, I always wear this for travel over 5 km.

Especially on rainy days.
I use a NERD belt. I think this is only for Australia, but it contains two 200ml bottles, a smartphone, and three to four gels.

Salomon’s active skin was rubbed out, so I replaced it with Advanced Skin 5. I tried on the active, but the hole for the water bag tube is smaller and it is troublesome to pass it.

I like the versatility that can be used with one soft flask or two water bags. Actually, I take almost one bottle and replenish it. I like this more than handheld.

I use RAIDLIGHT Revolutiv 3L. I really like this. Over the past five years, I have used it quite badly, but it still holds up quite well.
